FOURMAUX, ROMAGNA E BRUSORI LEADERS A RALLYLEGEND
Il pilota ufficiale M-Sport Ford nel WRC domina tra le WRC, Romagna (Delta Integrale) si conferma tra le Classi, Brusori passa in testa tra le Historic: questi i verdetti della tappa in notturna del venerdì a Rallylegend. Nel pomeriggio di ieri grande suggestione con la LegenDakar, premiato da Eberhard&Co Stig Blomqvist, mentre Pirelli ha presentato una nuova misura di pneumatico per le vetture storiche.

Repubblica di San Marino. Un piccolo inciampo tecnico nella Sprint Legend Race del giovedì, sistemato subito alla assistenza. E come prevedibile il pilota WRC Adrien Fourmaux, con Coria e la Ford Puma Rally1 Hybrid hanno dettato legge nella tappa di ieri in notturna della categoria World Rally Car, vincendo tutte le prove speciali in programma. Al secondo posto, a poco meno di 20 secondi, si è issato lo spagnolo Victor Senra Carreira, con Paula Ramos a bordo di una Citroen C3 WRC Plus con la quale sono protagonisti di vertice nei rally iberici. A completare il podio Luca Pedersoli, habituè di Rallylegend, con Anna Tomasi alle note: solo quattro secondi lo separano da Senra, ma l’italiano sta ancora prendendo le misure alla sua nuova Hyundai i20 WRC Plus.
Si preannuncia di alto livello il confronto al vertice nella categoria Classic, dove Simone Romagna, con Lamonato (Lancia Delta Integrale 16V mantiene il comando, ma la concorrenza si è fatta sotto. L’esperto campione uruguaiano Gustavo Trelles, con il fedele “Bicho” Del Buono alle note a bordo della Subaru Impreza 555 lo segue a soli 2”2, a sua volta rincorso dall’altra Delta Integrale di Francesco Turatello, con Segato. Ma da tenere d’occhio sarà anche il sammarinese Marcello Colombini, con Marco Selva che sulle strade di casa con le sole due ruote motrici della BMW M3 E30 riesce a non farsi staccare più di tanto dalle “integrali”.
Dominio tra le Historic nella tappa di ieri di Simone Brusori, con Carrugi, che vincendo tutte e tre le prove speciali con la loro Porsche 911 SCRS, hanno scavalcato in testa e staccato di 8”6 il sammarinese Stefano Rosati, con Costa, comunque tra i protagonisti con la Talbot Lotus. Di valore il terzo posto del belga Philippe Olczyk, con De Bolle, che non si sono risparmiati con la splendida Lancia Stratos del 1974.
LEGENDAKAR, IL MITO DELLA DAKAR A RALLYLEGEND
Un brivido di emozione. Quando la colonna delle grandi vetture, protagoniste della mitica Dakar ha preso il via da Rally Village, con l’inconfondibile rombo dei motori, per avviarsi verso il teatro sterrato della parata che le ha viste sfilare, migliaia di persone attendevano lungo la strada questa carovana. Per ammirare le vetture ma anche per applaudire i campioni leggendari che le guidavano. Poi il ritorno trionfale a Rally Village, dove Jacky Ickx, Ari Vatanen, Jutta Kleinschmidt e Miki Biasion erano attesi da una folla di appassionati. Il tempo di parcheggiare le Peugeot 405 Dakar, la Porsche 953 Rothmans, i fuoristrada Nissan, Mitsubishi e Mercedes, fino al mastodontico Iveco Petronas e alla piccola Pandakar, accanto alle “colleghe” statiche Audi RS Q e-tron, Citroen ZX Dakar e altre Porsche Dakar e i quattro grandi campioni sono stati a disposizione del pubblico, per foto, autografi e selfie, mentre venivano intervistati da Guido Schittone sulle loro imprese africane. Un grande successo per la nuova proposta di Rallylegend che apre ad un mondo molto vicino al rally e di grande fascino.
PREMIO EBERHARD&CO ALLA CARRIERA DI STIG BLOMQVIST
L’orologio di grande pregio non poteva che essere il modello Champion. Così Eberhard&Co, partner fedele di Rallylegend, ha voluto premiare la carriera di Stig Blomqvist nel quarantesimo anniversario della vittoria del suo titolo mondiale rally 1984. A consegnare il prezioso trofeo il due volte campione del mondo rally Miki Biasion, testimonial Eberhard& Co, insieme all’A.D. Mario Peserico.
PIRELLI PRESENTA A RALLYLEGEND LA NUOVA MISURA DEL P7 CORSA CLASSIC
Come da tradizione Pirelli è protagonista di Rallylegend non solo perché gomma in esclusiva le vetture più iconiche che hanno fatto la storia del rally ed è a bordo del 90 per cento delle auto iscritte, ma perché ogni anno propone novità diverse che animano la manifestazione. Se lo scorso anno fu la volta delle auto R1 del WRC, che rombarono sulle strade della Repubblica per iniziativa di Pirelli, quest’anno è stata la volta della presentazione in anteprima assoluta di una nuova misura del P7 Corsa Classic, che completa il già fornitissimo e unico catalogo Pirelli dedicato alle vetture rally d’epoca.
A tenere a battesimo la nuova gomma è stato il due volte campione del mondo Miki Biasion che insieme con Terenzio Testoni, Rally Activity manager di Pirelli, ne ha presentato le caratteristiche.
“Con questa nuova misura il nostro catalogo classico, già unico al mondo, passa da 26 a 29 specifiche. - ha spiegato Testoni - In questo modo copriamo tutte le vetture Gruppo A che arrivano fino ai primi anni dell’ultimo decennio del secolo scorso e in particolare andiamo a coprire la fascia delle cilindrate 1600, dopo aver già offerto soluzioni per le 1300 e le 2000”.

FOURMAUX, ROMAGNA AND BRUSORI LEADERS AT RALLYLEGEND
M-Sport Ford’s official driver in the WRC dominates among the WRCs, Romagna (in a Delta Integrale) solidified his lead among the Classes and Brusori takes the lead among the Historic. These are the results from Friday night stage at Rallylegend. Yesterday afternoon featured the evocative LegenDakar, with Stig Blomqvist awarded by Eberhard&Co, while Pirelli presented a new tire size for historic cars.
Republic of San Marino. A small technical issue during Sprint Legend Race on Thursday was quickly resolved by technical assistance. As expected, WRC driver Adrien Fourmaux with Coria in the Ford Puma Rally1 Hybrid dominated last night’s World Rally Car stage, winning all the special stages on the program.
Spanish driver Victor Senra Carreira with Paula Ramos, protagonists at the top of the Iberian rallies, got the second place in their Citroen C3 WRC Plus, nearly 20 seconds behind.
Luca Pedersoli, Rallylegend “habitué” completed the podium with Anna Tomasi on the notes: only four seconds separated him from Senra, but the Italian is still getting the hang of his new Hyundai i20 WRC Plus.
The battle at the top of the Classic category promises to be a high-level one, where Simone Romagna with Lamonato (Lancia Delta Integrale 16V) maintains the lead, but the competition is closing in. The experienced Uruguayan champion Gustavo Trelles, with his faithful “Bicho” Del Buono on the notes on the Subaru Impreza 555, trails closely by just 2.2 seconds, followed by Francesco Turatello and Segato’s Delta Integrale.
Worth bearing in mind Marcello Colombini from San Marino with Marco Selva on the notes, who on his home roads with the two-wheel drive BMW M3 E30 manages not to be too far behind the four-wheel drive cars.
In the Historic category, Simone Brusori with Carrugi showcased dominance by winning all three special stages in their Porsche 911 SCRS, taking the lead and distancing themselves by 8.6 seconds from San Marino’s Stefano Rosati with Costa, who are still among the protagonists with the Talbot Lotus. While Belgian Philippe Olczyk with De Bolle secured a commendable third place in a stunning 1974 Lancia Stratos.
LEGENDAKAR, THE MYTH OF THE DAKAR AT RALLYLEGEND
A thrill of excitement filled the air as the iconic cars protagonists of the legendary Dakar set off from Rally Village in a long queue. The unique roar of their engines echoed as they made their way to the gravel road where thousands of people were already there waiting for them to parade in order to admire the cars but also to cheer on the legendary champions who drove them.
Then the triumphant return to Rally Village, where Jacky Ickx, Ari Vatanen, Jutta Kleinschmidt and Miki Biasion were awaited by a crowd of enthusiasts.
As soon as they parked their Peugeot 405 Dakar, the Porsche 953 Rothmans, the Nissan, Mitsubishi and Mercedes off-road vehicles, up to the huge Iveco Petronas and the small Pandakar, next to the static “colleagues” Audi RS Q e-tron, Citroen ZX Dakar and other Porsche Dakars, the four great champions were immediately at disposal of the public, for photos, autographs and selfies, while being interviewed by Guido Schittone about their African victories.
The new Rallylegend proposal proved to be a significant success that opens up to a world very close to rallying and great of charm.
EBERHARD&CO CAREER AWARD TO STIG BLOMQVIST
The prestigious Eberhard&Co watch awarded to Stig Blomqvist was the Champion model.
To celebrate the fortieth anniversary of his 1984 World Rally Championship victory, Eberhard&Co, a steadfast partner of Rallylegend, honored Blomqvist's career. The valuable trophy was presented by two-time world rally champion Miki Biasion, an Eberhard&Co ambassador, alongside CEO Mario Peserico.
PIRELLI UNVEILS NEW SIZE OF P7 CORSA CLASSIC TIRE AT RALLYLEGEND
True to tradition, Pirelli is a key player at Rallylegend, not only because it exclusively supplies tires for the most iconic rally cars -equipping 90 percent of cars in the event- but also for its annual introductions of exciting innovations.
Following last year's focus on R1 cars from the WRC, which roared on the streets of the Republic of San Marino on the initiative of Pirelli, this year marked the absolute debut of a new size for the P7 Corsa Classic, enhancing Pirelli's already extensive catalogue for historic rally cars.
Two-time world champion Miki Biasion with Terenzio Testoni, Pirelli's Rally Activity Manager, introduced the new tire and its features. "With this new size, our unique classic catalogue goes from 26 to 29 specifications" explained Testoni. "In this way, we cover all Group A vehicles up to the early 2000s, particularly addressing the 1600cc category after having already offered solutions for 1300cc and 2000cc vehicles."
